Pie is the classical violinist of the band, The Lovelies. As child she was always musically inclined but hadn’t picked up a violin until August of last year. Why the sudden interest? Hilariously enough, it was because she’d seen Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes on the BBC programme Sherlock absent-mindedly playing around with one. She picked up a violin and, unlike her inspiration, played the violin incredibly well instead of strumming a few off-key notes while in deep contemplation.
She does occasionally start playing with an absent-minded look, but she does it incredibly well. Pie has always been inquisitive and thoughtful, never afraid to voice what she thought. She is ridiculously fond of BBC shows, which are some things that you find a lot of on her blog, She has to sort out her priorities. She is also ridiculously talented as a visual artist and often loves to sketch up the various members of the band in bursts of inspiration, among other things that inspire her.
While King did bring The Lovelies together on Tumblr, it was Pie who actually suggested that they form a band. Really The Lovelies is Pie’s brainchild. She started up the Tumblr page for the band and drew up band member profiles for each of them. She has been a very integral part of creative brainstorming and remains a valuable asset to the band as a violinist, an artist and a creator.

Sorry had to make the Lion King reference. Here we are again with another ditty about one of the members of the up-and-coming alternative band, The Lovelies.
See, King grew up learning piano with a group of friends who had always been musically inclined. Usually the quietest of the group, they were stunned to find out that he could sing and play the guitar when he performed acoustically at the school talent show. He quickly became attached to the keytar and the rest, they say, is history.
King met Pie and Bang before he met Whims, but still had stuck more to the group of pianists that he grew up with. When Whims and King became friends and started to talk regularly, Whims followed him onto the website, Tumblr. Whims quickly convinced her Fratello, Pie, to join Tumblr and Bang was the last to begrudgingly join. So you could say that King brought the four of them together.
King also is adept at making graphics and thus spends spare time working up promotional posters and gifs to help spread Lovely Awareness. He strives to provide random factual information to the world through his primary Tumblr, Liam’s Fact A Day and lets his nerdiness escape through his secondary Tumblr, I’m kind of a nerd. He is a brilliant lead vocalist and accomplished keytar player.

Every band needs roadies, and The Lovelies are no exception. As the faithful companion of King, he couldn’t pass up the opportunity of helping the band out. He’s a stuffed lion? He doesn’t care. Breaking many of the stereotypes that have been placed on stuffed animals, the amount of work he does for the band is astounding. He’s lovable, loyal, trustworthy and just damn cute. He’s King Jr.
